Stitcher uses push notifications to send Breaking News Alerts to our listeners as soon as a major story breaks. Audio updates about the breaking news are instantly sent to your phone, giving you all the current details of any major news event as it unfolds.
Push notifications are different than text messages in that they do not cost you anything to receive.
To disable these push notifications, please go into your iOS device’s Settings (not Stitcher’s) and select Notifications. Scroll to and select Stitcher in the list under In Notification Center. Set Notification Center to OFF. Set Alert Style to None. Set Badge App Icon to OFF. Set Sounds to OFF. Set View in Lock Screen to OFF.
