Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells – How do I get hints?

Tap the Settings button.Tap the Hints button.Hints are enabled when you are idle in a Puzzle. Keep an eye on the Gems as they wiggle on the gameboard to show you patterns that you can use to make a move.
