Why is FarmVille shutting down?
FarmVille runs on Adobe Flash and from December 31st Adobe Flash and games running on it will no longer be supported by browsers and Facebook. That is why we had to take the tough decision of shutting down FarmVille.
When is FarmVille shutting down?
FarmVille will be completely shut down on December 31, . We will stop accepting payments after November 17, .
I spent money on FarmVille before Nov 17, . What now?
You can use any existing FarmVille currency in-game before it closes on December 31, .
Can I get a refund instead?
We are sorry, we will not be able to process refunds. We have kept payments available for players who would like to make any specific purchases between now and game closure. You can continue to use your in-game currency until Dec 31, .
Why couldn’t you give us more advance notice or time to play?
We apologize if this closure comes as a surprise, but hope that the three-month sunset period gives you sufficient time to play the game and tie up any loose ends in it. As a thank you gift for being a loyal player, we are offering a Bonus Package to those who migrate to FarmVille Tropic Escape.
When will this happen?
FarmVille will sunset on December 31st, but it will be fully playable until that date. Only payments will stop on November 17. The option to migrate to Tropic Escape will be active until December 31.
Will we be getting new farms and features before the game shuts down?
Yes, we plan to keep FarmVille fully playable and update new content till December 31, .
What are the other farming games I can play?
Zynga has other farming games that you can enjoy both on mobile as well as the browser, including – FarmVille2: Tropic Escape, FarmVille 2: Country Escape and FarmVille 2 on Web. We also have a brand new game, FarmVille 3, coming soon!
Why can I continue to play some other FarmVille games on Facebook?
FarmVille was the first farming game to be built and uses old technology which is no longer supported. Our newer games continue to be supported by browsers and are hence playable.
Are other FarmVille games playable?
Only FarmVille web which is available to play through Facebook web is affected by Flash deprecation and not going to be available December 31 onwards. Our other games like FarmVille 2, FarmVille: Country Escape, FarmVille 2: Tropic Escape & FarmVille 3 are not affected by this.
