Grandpa is here to help you modernize your farm! Help him build the Laboratory and you will be able to speed up production of farm activities and grow unique crops and fruits. The Laboratory unlocks at level 10 on the Seaside Farm.
Basic Research
Unlock and use the Basic Research Techs to immediately collect honey, milk and cheese. Using active Techs also give you Research Points that will increase the Lab Level .
How to use Techs?
Close the Laboratory and tap on the grey bar on the bottom of your screen to open the Tech Tray. Here you can choose the Tech you want to activate.
To use and power your Techs you require a special chemical substance, Farmium! Open the Daily Quest Chests to collect Farmium .
Research Topic: Cropology and Treeology?
Once you have mastered the Basic Research Techs and reached Lab Level 4, you are ready to choose a Research Topic; Cropology or Treeology.
Cropologygives you the technology to plant crops at a lower cost, get rare crop seeds and special recipes for the Stove House (see FAQ [Hot Topic] Stove House).
The first Cropology Tech is Frugal Powder. Thanks to Frugal Powder you will be able to save on planting costs. When you have unlocked the rare crops passive Techs in Cropology, you will also have a chance to get rare seeds while using this Tech. Open this Tech in the Lab Panel and tap “?” to check the tutorial.
Treeology gives you the technology to zap trees for extra products and coins. You can also get rare fruit seeds and special recipes for the Stove House (see FAQ [Hot Topic] Stove House).
The first Treeology Tech is the Tree Zapper. Thanks to the Tree Zapper you can get extra products and coins. When you have unlocked the rare fruits passive Techs in Treeology, you will also get rare seeds while using this Tech. Open this Tech in the Lab Panel and tap “?” to check the tutorial. You can only use Tree Zapper on ripe coin trees and the tree will disappear afterwards!
Change Research Topic
You can change Research Topic anytime, all the skills you have unlocked and leveled up will be saved. So when you switch back the skills will still be here! To change your Research Topic, scroll down in the Research Lab Panel and tap the “change research topic” button.
Note: you can change Research Topic for free only once.
Seed Bank
When using Frugal Powder Tech and Tree Zapper Techs you have a chance to get rare seeds for planting unique crops and fruits. Your seeds will be stored in the Seed Bank. You need a certain amount of seeds before you can plant it, and every crop/tree has several growth stages. Open the Seed Bank and tap on the ‘i’ next to the rare seed icon to find the specific seed information. You will need Liquid Fertilizer to grow your special crops/fruits. Finish Coffee House quests in the Coffee House to get this fertilizer (see FAQ [Hot Topic] Coffee House).
After you harvest the special crops/fruits, they will be stored in the Lab Storehouse.
