With leagues to climb, racers to beat, and big prizes to get your hands on, this blog is here to let you know how it all works and what you can expect. You might be wondering why we run Beta’s before launching a new feature, this is to test the mechanics of a new event, and certain things might be changed for the full series depending on the results. The ShowDown Leagues Beta is preparation for the full feature which will be called Pro Leagues.So, what is ShowDown Leagues Beta?ShowDown Leagues builds upon the ShowDown feature, recording your progress across both areas as one continuous score in the form of points. You’ll be matched with players who have similar points on a weekly leaderboard. The top 6 players on the leaderboard at the end of the week will move up to the next league rank! The first beta season of ShowDown Leagues allows players to rise through 7 different leagues and win up to 3 prize cars!What are the ShowDown League Beta Prize Cars?The PandeM V1 Toyota GR Supra, the PandeM V1.5 Toyota GR Supra, and the Rocket Bunny V2 Nissan Fairlady Z (Z33) are the cars you win, but only if you’re fast enough to beat those around you and climb to the top!
How long will the Beta last?The Beta Season of Showdown Leagues starts on 18/02/2021 and ends on 14/04/2021, so you have plenty of time to move up the league ranks and claim some great rewards.How come I can’t see the ShowDown Leagues Beta pin on the map?As this feature is being tested for stability, not all players will be receiving the ShowDown Leagues Beta. We want to ensure we give you the best experience possible once the feature fully launches. Whether you have access to the ShowDown Leagues Beta or not will be totally at random and we cannot manually add extra players. But don’t worry, you’ll soon get your hands on the fully released version if you aren’t randomly selected!What are ShowDown Points?You will now earn ShowDown Points from every Showdown race. ShowDown Points is a persistent score across multiple Showdowns. You will receive rewards at regular ShowDown Points Milestones over the course of a week. The ShowDown Points Milestone Reward carousel refreshes at the end of the week based on where you finish in the league and if you get promoted!Where can I see my score?You will be able to see your Showdown Points in the main event panel of the Leagues hub on the left. This is a weekly tally of points accumulated and will reset at the end of the week.How do I progress through Leagues?Once you have raced hard and reached the “Skilled League”, you will need to earn a certain amount of ShowDown Points each week to qualify for promotion to the next rank. This amount of ShowDown Points is the requirement to be eligible for that promotion. How do the crate rewards in the ShowDown Points Milestone Carousel Work?After racers win the final reward in the ShowDown Points Carousel, at the end of the week you will receive these rewards for the corresponding intervals:*Novice: 25k Cash every 200 SPSkilled: 200 Green AMP every 300 SPAdvanced: 50k Cash every 400 SPSpecialist: 300 Green AMP every 500 SP Elite: 100k Cash every 500 SP Master: 100 Red AMP every 750 SP Champion: 100 Gold every 1000 SP*Please note these prizes are subject to change throughout the duration of the Beta. How can I unlock the new ShowDown Leagues Beta Car?The ShowDown Leagues Cars can only be redeemed with the tokens you receive when promoted to another league rank at the end of the week. So, get racing and move on up!Does ShowDown Leagues have seasons?Yes, each ShowDown League Season is for a limited duration. We want you to be able to get the most from ShowDown over the course of a season, this way you can get your hands on the Hero cars and maximize the rewards you can earn and we can regularly change what rewards are available to you.Where and how can I find or unlock the Showdown Leagues Hero car?You can find all the cars inside the ShowDown Leagues section of the Dealership or via the Rewards Tab in the ShowDown Leagues HUB.Can I collect more than one ShowDown Leagues Hero car?Yes, you can own as many ShowDown Leagues Hero cars as you can purchase with the tokens.Hero cars can be purchased with tokens earned whenever you are promoted at the end of the weekly Leagues.Where can I spend my ShowDown Leagues Tokens?You can spend the ShowDown Leagues Tokens on the hero cars available in each season, these can be found in the Dealership. If you don’t spend your ShowDown Leagues Tokens, you can keep them and they will transfer over to the Pro Leagues full feature.Where do I get the ShowDown Leagues Tokens?You can earn the unique ShowDown Leagues Tokens whenever you are promoted to the next league rank. Players can get promoted whenever they have earned the eligible ShowDown Points and are in the top 6 of their weekly leagues leaderboard.Where can I see all the Hero cars?The Hero cars will be showcased in the Dealership in the special ShowDown Leagues section that we’ve created. How do I get promoted at the end of the week?For the Novice League, you will need to be among the top 6 in your weekly League Leaderboard. For every other weekly League Leaderboard, you will have to score a minimum number of points & be among the top 6 in your weekly League LeaderboardEligibility Requirements by league are as follows:Skilled: 500 SPAdvanced: 700 SPSpecialist: 900 SPElite: 1100 SPMaster: 1300 SPChampion: 1600 SPI’m in the top 6 but I didn’t get promoted, why?Being in the top 6 in your weekly Leagues Leaderboard without scoring the minimum eligibility ShowDown Points criteria for promotion will mean that you won’t be promoted. If you have scored the minimum amount of required points and are still not being promoted then that’s a problem that needs to be escalated, please contact our support team in-game if you experience this.Is it possible to earn enough tokens to buy the Hero Car in a season?It is possible for you to earn enough tokens to buy all 3 Hero cars during a season! A season’s Hero cars are the most useful to a player during that season, so get earning and grab them whilst you can!How can I boost my ShowDown League Points?You can buy Showdown Point boosts (SP Boosts) for gold that will help you earn 30% more ShowDown Points per race which gives you a competitive edge in the weekly Leagues Leaderboard. SP Boosts once purchased are active for 4 hours only so race and win as much as you can when you get one!What are Boost Cars?Boost cars are a great way to amplify your progress in Leagues. Racing with a boost car doubles the ShowDown Points you would have normally earned every race. You can find the boost cars in the car selection pane for every ShowDown event, labeled with a boost icon.How do I earn a trophy boost?You can achieve trophy boosts when hitting certain milestones. Trophy boosts happen at 3 separate milestones:400 Trophies – 10% ShowDown Points Boost800 Trophies – 15% ShowDown Points Boost1200 Trophies – 25% ShowDown Points BoostI had a loan car, where has it gone?The loan car is only available to players for 10 races after which you will need to procure a car to race in the Showdown Leagues Beta.We hope you enjoy this new journey into Player vs Player racing here on CSR2 and we always want to know what you think so we can continue improving the feature.
