What Is Caller ID Lookup?
Caller ID lookup allows you to search for phone numbers, through a reverse search that allows you to find names for phone numbers.
Ex: If you get a call from an unknown number, and want to try and find out who that number belongs to.
How Does This Feature Work?
To Search for a number from your device Call Log or calling history:
Open the call log/history and press "i" for the number you want:
Copy the phone number:
Then open Sync.ME, and press "search" when it asks to search for this number:
Search results will appear in the search for this number:
Note for International Numbers: Use +international country code+zip+number
Where do the phone numbers come from?
The phone numbers come from our users and the Sync.ME community. This is a crowd source from our users to help better identify callers and to block SPAM calls. The more our users use Sync.ME to identify numbers the more it helps us expand to grow within the Sync.ME community. Therefore, if you are unable to find a phone number now, within the next few days you may be able to find this unknown number.
Why, and how is my number in the Sync.ME database?
After installing Sync.ME, our users are then asked for permission to allow access to their address books in order to improve their phone search feature. Due to this, your phone number could have been integrated into our database.
You can request to have your number removed from our database by writing to our support in the App, or through our email at support@sync.me. When you write to us, please provide international country code+number.
