Sync.ME provides high quality contact photos. It is not a dialer anddoes not control your device caller ID.
The size of a caller ID photo depends on the default caller ID provided through your device and OS version. Photos will not be full screen if your device does not provide native full screen caller ID.
Reasons For Small Photos:
On iOS 7:
Apple removed full screen compatibility in iOS version 7, therefore photos will appear smaller using this iOS. Sync.ME does not have control over this so in order to see bigger photos you will need to upgrade to iOS 8.
App photo setting:
For devices that allow large photos,you can adjust the photo size in the app settings: Settings>Contact Sync>Sync Photos Size.
iOS automatic Facebook Integration
Check if the Facebook integration is enabled in your phone. You can do this through your phone settings:Settings>Facebook>Contacts (OFF).The integration should be off.
On iOS 8:
Full screen caller IDs are available in this OS. However, you can see small photos using iOS 8 (with Sync.ME v8.0), you can try this workaround: Please note, if you use a separate contact exchange, this may have no effect. Read below about contact exchanges before changing any settings.
- Turn Overwrite photo setting On. This will replace the existing photos in your device. More info about Overwrite is here:http://bit.ly/1nfyN7A
- For photos that remained small you can manually remove the contact’s photo from your device contact list. Then open the app, and sync your contacts again (Overwrite should still be on).
Contact Exchanges:
Small contact photos are also a common problem for users who use a contact Exchange such as Google Sync to store contacts.Sync.ME updates your Contacts with high resolution photos; however, Exchange / Google Sync may support photos with smaller resolution for Contacts.
Once your Contacts are updated with large resolution photos, Exchange / Google Sync resizes those pictures to small resolution thumbnails.Note:This may also occur with contacts stored in iCloud.
This issue also applies for pictures you have set manually for Contacts not using our app.If you’re using a contact exchange such as Google Sync, Outlook, etc.,the recommendation is to store your Contacts locallyusing CardDAV.For more info on how to sync your contacts with CardDAV click here:https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077?hl=en
Please note: Even with CardDAV some photos may still be small. As the exchange may deal with contacts after they are already synced with Sync.ME, photos may be changed. At this point Sync.ME does not have control over when the contact exchanges alter photos (and info) after they are brought in from our app. There are external factors to our app and therefore communicate separately and differently than Sync.ME.
