Arcane Online-[Feb 16] BETA version: updated game engine, better frame rate-[Arcane Online]

Greetings!

We are currently testing a new version of Arcane Online with an update to the game engine.

The objective is to improve the performance when many players are displayed in real-time (typically for World Boss, Siege War, Dominion Wars) on devices with lower specs (less than 4GB RAM).

With the new client, most players should be able to have a decent to good frame rate even when displaying other players, effects, shadows, etc. Once installed, you can play with it on live server with your character(s) as usual.

This is a beta client – with some minor issues – but since some players may be interested in testing it and helping us gathering feedback, we decided to open it to the public.

HOW TO TEST( only if not playing as Guestand recommended to more tech-savvyplayers)

1. Tap thisLink(it will open a Google Drive where the new APK client is hosted)
2. Request accessto the file (it may take a bit to get access as we need to manually grant it, so expect up to 12h wait maybe due to time zone differences)
3. Downloadthe new APK client via theLink
4. Uninstall the current Arcane Onlineclient (thus if you use a Guest account, you cannot test!)
5. Tap the APK file downloadedto install it; you will have to accept installation from unknown origin because the file is not downloaded from the official player
6. Launchthe new app and test it
7. Send us feedback(if better, no difference, or worse) and bugs/issues found

DISCLAIMERS!

• Do not do that if you play as a Guest
• DO NOT DO THAT IF YOU PLAY AS A GUEST! 🙂
• Be sure to know what login method you used before uninstalling (characters are never deleted, if you can’t find them please check our FAQ about it :))
• Please understand it is a beta, there could be bugs and other issues!
• Uninstalling/reinstalling the new client will force you to repatch the whole game, about 1GB, do not do if you don’t have a good Wifi or unlimited LTE network
• If you play on a top end device and do not have much issues, you will probably see no difference (Samsung S7, etc). This is recommended mostly for lower spec devices.
• IF ANY ISSUE WITH THE BETA APK, JUST REINSTALL THE LIVE ONE FROM THE STORE 🙂
