Arcane Online-[DOMINION] Everything you need to know!-[Arcane Online]

Dominion Wars are new guild vs guild instanced battlesthat are held once a week on Wednesdays from 8PM to 9PM server time!
GENERAL
The goal is to fight to conquer one of the 6 territories.
The 6 territories are split into two elements, Fire and Frost, and 3 level brackets: 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60+.
Each guild can bid Siege Points to apply to the Dominion Wars battles for one territory per element. The 6 guilds with the highest bid will compete for the territory!
The battle opposes 2 teams of up to 20 players each for 10mn, in a “ MOBA-like” battle!
The winning guild for each element will gain access to the exclusive Dominion Hall, from where a Boss can be summoned once a day.
The Boss will drop a chest (like the World Boss), which can contain various items including, if lucky, a Fairy Crest which is a new Legacy item.
The Dominion Wars can be accessed from the Guild and Event menus.
BIDDING PROCESS
The guild leader or officers of Guilds Level 5+ can bid Siege Points to apply to the next Dominion Wars, for one territory per element (so max. 2 territories). The minimum bid is 50,000 Siege Points per territory.
Until the applications close on Tuesday 11:59PM, you can then increase your bid with any additional amount of Siege Points. The points will be added to your initial bid.
IMPORTANT:To set a New Bid, you need to have at least 50,000 Siege Pts balance left or you will get a error message saying you don’t have enough Siege Pts! (we expect this to be fixed later)
The 6 highest bidders in each territory will be selected for the next Dominion Wars!
If 2 guilds have the same bid, the guild which made the bid first will be ranked higher among the list of bidders.
The guild not selected will lose their Siege Points, but will receive Dominion Rental Points as a compensation (see below).
Only the players from the territory level bracket can fight, but any player can enter the Dominion Hall, so choose the territory(s) carefully!
Battles Matching
During the 1h Dominion Wars, the guilds selected for each territory (up to 6) will be matched in a 10mn guild vs guild battle.
For the first battle, guilds are matched based on the final bid (the first 2 guilds highest bids will be matched against each other, etc)
From the second battle, the guilds with the same or similar number of wins will be matched together.
Guilds who are still in battle won’t be included during the matchmaking process.
If a guild has fought all the other participating guilds, it won’t be included in the matching process anymore – you can only battle against another guild once (i.e. if 4 guilds participate, you will do 3 matches)! The teams will have to wait until 9PM for the final results.
When a battle is about to start, all guild members will receive a notice. They can enter the Dominion Wars from the short cut in the main screen (or the Guild or Events menu). The countdown of 10mn will start as soon as the notice pops up, so if you are waiting in town or else hurry up to enter! 🙂
Exceptions:
– If the number of participating guilds is a odd number, one Dominion War will start without opponents.
– If there is only one guild participating, the Dominion War will start without opponent and there will be no more battle afterwards.
DOMINION BATTLES
Each battle opposes 2 teams of up to 20 players in a MOBA-like battle (PvPvE). Only the players from the territory level bracket can enter!
Each team has 1 Nexus, 5 Towers, and Minions to support them; and the Spectral Battlefield has 5 "lanes":
The goal is to destroy the other team Nexus.
During the 10min battle, your team will score points by destroying the opposing Statues (30points x5) and killing the other team players (1point). You will also get 300pts if your team wins the battle.
You will be supported by Kuotoa Minions which will spawn every few seconds at your Nexus. If the Minions kill a Statue, the 30pts will be added to the team score (killing the other team minions doesn’t give points!).
Note: Statues are like monsters, if all the players go out of range (which is quite wide) and the aggro is thus lost, the Statue will regen its full HP (i.e. all players die and are sent back to their base).
A Spectral Dragon will also spawn in the lower part of the map. Once killed, all the members alive from the guild which gave the last hit will receive a 50% Attack/Spell Power buff for 2min. The Spectral Dragon will respawn every 2min.
After 3mn, a Spectral Hydra will spawn in the upper part of the map. Once killed, all the members alive from the guild which gave the last hit will receive a 100% Attack/Spell Power and HP buff for 4min. The Spectral Hydra does not respawn!
You will have to decide strategically if you go for the buffs or focus on the enemy’s towers instead!
The battle will not end even if there are no opponents! The battle will only end after 10min or if the Nexus is destroyed (avoids abuses of ending/leaving battles quickly).
At the end of the battle, you will see your own score card, and the teams scoreboard as well. You will then be teleported to Kalad, until the next battle is ready!
Additional Notes:
  • Only Members can enter, new Recruit or Initiates are not eligible.
  • When you get killed, you will respawn at your Nexus.
  • If you get killed, the bosses buffs received will note be lost!
  • You can (re)enter the battle anytime, but there can be only 20 players from the guild in the battle (if you get disconnected, you can re-enter as long as there aren’t 20 guild members in battle already)
  • If you play on Auto, the closest enemy will be targeted.
WINNING THE WAR
Each guild vs guild battle can be won either by destroying the opponent Nexus first (even if 1s difference) or scoring the most points if no team destroyed the Nexus within 10min.
You cannot attack the Nexus until at least one Statue has been destroyed.
If the two teams have the exact same score, the battle will end in a draw and no team will get the 300 bonus points.
The team with the highest accumulated score at the end of the 1h battles will conquer the territory!
The other guilds will receive Dominion Rental Points as a compensation (see below)
Exceptional cases:
  • If you are the only guild who did bid for a territory, you will conquer the territory at the end of the Dominion Wars as there were no opponents.(even if you do not score any points or don’t even enter the fight)
  • If the first and second team in the ranking have the same score, the winner will be declared based on the following conditions: # Wins > # Tower Destroyed > # Kills > Guild Rank 🙂
  • If more than one guild is registered but by the end of the Dominion Wars no guild has scored any points, then it will be a draw and none of the guilds will conquer the territory!
  • Note that if you register for Lv60+ territory but have only a few players Lv60+, it is still possible you score points as you may kill other players and the minions MAY destroy a tower. If none of the players move from the Nexus, most likely both teams will score 0 and none of the guilds will get the territory ;))
DOMINION HALL
For each territory conquered, the winning guild will gain access to an exclusive Dominion Hall (similar to Siege War, but smaller :))
In case you conquered both a Fire and Frost territory, it means you can potentially access 2 Dominion Halls!
All guild members can access the Dominion Hall from the Guid Info tab, whatever their level (however, ‘red name’ PK players cannot enter, like the Siege War Hall).
In the Dominion Hall, Victor the butler will give you access to 2 services: the Boss Summon and the Fairy Crest.
The guild leader or officers can summon a Dominion Boss once a day by using Siege Points.
  • Lv40~49: 10,000 Siege Points,
  • Lv50~59: 20,000 Siege Points,
  • Lv.60+: 30,000 Siege Points.
The higher the level bracket of the territory, the stronger the boss but the better the rewards! The Dominion Boss is about 2/3 the strength of the World Boss of the same level bracket!
The Dominion Boss will drop a chest, the quality of the chest will depends on the guild members damage contribution (like the World Bosses).
  • Damage Contributors 1~3: Epic Chest,
  • Damage Contributors 4~20: Rare Chest,
  • Damage Contributors 21+: Common Chest,
The Dominion Chest contains some Fast Healing and Mana Potions and another item among Sapphires, Trophy Hunter, Stable Upgrade, Fortune Gem Chest, Fairy Dust and if very lucky (5% chance in the Epic and Rare Chests) a Fairy Crest (Fire or Frost depending on the territory element, Heroic/Legendary/Relic depending on the territory level)!
Guilds who couldn’t win the Dominion Wars will be able to rent a Dominion Hall for 9h using Dominion Rental Points, and thus summon a Boss. If you have enough Siege Points to bid, it will thus be highly recommended to apply to 2 territories each week and earn some Rental Points!
The Rental Fee increases with the territory level bracket:
  • Lv40~49: 200pts Rental Points,
  • Lv50~59: 400pts Rental Points,
  • Lv.60+: 600pts Rental Points.
FAIRY CREST
The Fairy Crest is a new piece of gear that can be equipped in the corresponding Legacy slots.
Each character can equip one Fire Crest and one Frost Crest.
The Fairy Crest can be Heroic (Lv.40~49), Legendary (Lv.50~59) or Epic (Lv.60+).
Once obtained, the Fairy Crest can be auctioned or equipped (it will then be soulbound).
Once equipped, the Fairy Crest cannot be lost nor expire!
The Fairy Crest increases the Fire or Frost damage, and also gives additional bonus stats:
  • Heroic Crest: 2 Enchantments
  • Legendary Crest: 4 Enchantments
  • Relic Crest: 5 Enchantments
The enchantments obtained on a Crest are random, among the 10 following stats:
  • STR/INT/AGI/STA +1
  • Attack/Spell Power +1
  • Physical DEF +2
  • Magic DEF +3
  • Max Mana +9
  • Max HP+12
For a Relic Crest it thus means 252 possible combinations, so each Fairy Crest will be quite different! Consider if the stats are good for your class before equipping it!
The Fairy Crest can be Refinedand Socketed, but not (Re)Enchanted further.
To refine your Crest(s), talk to the Dominion Hall Butler.
The Max Refine Level is 40 and you will need Fairy Dust and Red Fairy Dust (from Refine Lv.22+) that can be obtained in the Dominion Crest.
When you Refine the Fairy Crest, it can either be a Success (Refine+1), Bonanza (Refine+3) or Failure (try again :)).
  • From +1 to +10: Success 90%, Bonanza 10%
  • From +11 to +20: Success 70%, Bonanza 5%
  • From +21 to +30: Success 50%, Bonanza 5%
  • From +31 to +40: Success 10%, Bonanza 1% (pretty hard to go beyond +30 ;))
The number of Fairy Dust required will increase by 1 for each Refine level, while the number of Red Fairy Dust will only be needed from Lv22+. Examples:
  • For Refine to +1 you need 2 Fairy Dust
  • For Refine to +22 you need 23 Fairy Dust and 1 Red Fairy Dust
At Refine level +32 for example, the base stats like AGI can be +10 for instance.
Here are sample stats for a Relic Crest (it didn’t have Phys DEF and Max HP)
Edit V2.3.4: the Power gain from +15 to +40 has been increased, at +40 the Crest now gives 45,727 Power!
The Fairy Crest, if not equipped, can also be sold in the Auction House! (Warning: trying to ‘transfer’ the Crest to another guild member via the auction house at low price is VERY risky!!!)
It can also be Dismantled eventually for 1 Fairy Dust and some Blue Crystals.
Good luck in the Dominion Wars!
