Your BattlerTag is your in-game name, this is what other players see whenever you win an Arena and the information they need to add you as a friend. Your BattlerTag is a combination of your preferred player name and a sequence of 4 numbers. We’ve made the decision of having these numbers so players don’t spend a long time trying to select an in-game name which is already in use. This way, everyone can set their preferred name without waiting.For adding in-game friends or for account recoveries, you will need to have your full BattlerTag (which is your player name #1234).Changing your BattlerTagTo change your BattlerTag, go to the in-game shop.Scroll down and tap on the "Change your BattlerTag" icon:
Update your BattlerTag and confirmThe first name change costs 100 BB. Subsequent name changes cost more BB. Inappropriate BattlerTagsYou most likely know what an inappropriate BattlerTag looks like when you see it or think of it. If you have one we will rename it. Here’s a general overview of what we consider inappropriate:
- BattlerTags which suggest hate speech, profanity either explicitly or implicitly.
- Most BattlerTags which invoke or refer to ethical, political or historical contexts.
- BattlerTags which contain insults, vulgarity and outlandish imagery.
Just because you may not be offended by a BattlerTag, does not mean it is not offensive. Wordplay, references and jokes are great, however if there is any attempt at introducing offensive language, we will change it. If we change your BattlerTag and you do not think it is offensive, let us know and we can talk about it.Repeated reports will result in a penalty so make sure you select an appropriate BattlerTag.Can I have a special character in my BattlerTag?Yes you can. We did not want to hinder the ability of our players to select their preferred BattlerTag, which is why we have added the sequence of numbers after the #. What happens to my BattleBuddies list?You will remain in all of your BattleBuddies lists under your new BattlerTag. Make sure to let your BattleBuddies know you’ve changed your BattlerTag!What happens to my BattlerTag if I don’t log in for a while?Your account is perfectly safe if you don’t log in for a long time.
