Portal Quest Guide – What do the borders of Gear mean?

The color of the border around Gear indicates the rarity of the item. The colors are normal (white), green, blue, purple, orange, and red. Normal is the most common, and orange and red the most rare.Epic Gear also has an orange border, but is not considered an orange scrap or item.
