Here is where you can find a list of issues currently being investigated by our engineering team. This list will be updated regularly, and issues will be added and removed as they are discovered and resolved. The input field above the on-screen keyboard is missing on Android devices

Issue description: The input field above the on-screen keyboard when renaming a Pokémon is missing on Android devices.Issue status: Investigating

Android devices’ displays time out when the app is open

Issue description: Android devices’ displays time out instead of remaining active when the app is open.Issue status: Investigating

Increased crashes on Samsung Galaxy S20 devices

Issue description: We are investigating reports of increased crashes and freezes when using the app on a Samsung Galaxy S20 device.Issue status: Investigating

Raid boss health may seem to regenerate or Raid may become unresponsive

Issue description: We are investigating reports of various Raid issues, such as the Raid boss’s health regenerating or the Raid becoming unresponsive during battle.Issue status: Investigating

Previously caught Pokémon may not be shown as registered in the Pokédex

Issue description: Some Pokémon that have been previously caught and registered in the Pokédex may be appearing as uncaught. This can include specific genders or Shiny forms of Pokémon. This is a visual bug; once the issue is resolved, these Pokémon will appear as registered again. Issue status: Fix in an update currently rolling out (0.171)

The “X” button to skip the animation after sending a Gift is disabled

Issue description: The “X” button at the bottom of the page when sending a Gift to a Friend is disabled, resulting in players being unable to skip the animation that occurs when sending a Gift.Issue status: Fix in an update currently rolling out (0.171)

Battle invitations sent through Battle Codes are not reliably sent

Issue description: Battle invitations are not reliably sent through scanning Battle Codes if the player receiving the invitation leaves the Battle page.Workaround: If you are waiting to receive a Battle invitation through a scanned Battle code, please stay on the Battle page until the invitation shows up.Issue status: Fix in an update currently rolling out (0.171)

Buddy Adventure Related Issues

  • The notification bubbles above the buddy portrait are showing incorrect iconsIssue description: The notification bubbles above the portrait of the Buddy Pokémon on the lower left of the Map View are not showing the correct icon indicating the buddy activity completed.Issue status: Resolved 
  • Poffin bonuses are reset at midnight (local time)Issue description: Poffin bonuses are reset at midnight (local time) regardless of what time the Poffin is consumed by a Buddy Pokémon. Issue status: Investigating
  • Players may not be able to see other Trainers’ buddies during a Shared AR ExperienceIssue description: Players may not be able to see other Trainers’ Buddy Pokémon during a Shared AR Experience.Workaround: First, try restarting the Pokémon GO app before starting a new Shared AR Experience. If the problem persists, leave the Shared AR Experience and wait a few minutes before trying again.Issue status: Investigating
  • Shared AR Experience does not work on Galaxy S10 devices Issue description: Galaxy S10 devices may experience crashing when trying to enter a Shared AR Experience. Issue status: Investigating

Team GO Rocket Related Issues 

  • Mysterious Component collection screen overlapIssue description: Navigating away immediately after defeating a Rocket Grunt may result in the Mysterious Component collection screen and button appearing underneath other main screen UI elements, making the Mysterious Component button difficult to click.Workaround: Please restart the app. The Mysterious Component(s) will be collected (or combined) regardless.Issue status: Fix in an update currently rolling out (0.171)
