Hack Portals of any color to acquire items such as Resonators, XMP Bursters, and more. While you can hack any Portal, the quality of items you could receive depends on whether the Portal is neutral or controlled by a Faction. Friendly Portals yield the most inventory, so hack them often. Be warned: When you Hack Enemy Portals, they may attack you and reduce your XM reserves.To Hack a Portal:
- Walk towards a Portal until it’s within your action range.
- Tap the Portal to open the details view.
- Either tap Hack or long press and select the Glyph to Glyph Hack
- If you select Glyph Hack, trace the patter of Glyphs that appear
- Receive items from that Portal
