Account Linking – Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Guide

You can link your Google or Facebook account to your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account. After your account is linked, you’ll be able to sign into Harry Potter: Wizards Unite using any of the login providers linked to your account.This feature is especially handy for players who created an account using a non-permanent email address (like a school or work email address). If you’re concerned that you may lose access to your email address in the future, you can link a backup login provider to your account to ensure you’ll never lose access to your game.Note: This feature is not available to children. These players will not see the option in the Settings menu.Important note if you play other Niantic games: Account linking and unlinking takes effect across all Niantic products. Unlinking a login provider that is used for multiple Niantic games will unlink the login provider for all of those games. For example: if you’re unlinking a Facebook account from your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account, you will no longer be able to log into Pokémon GO or any other Niantic game with Facebook.

To link a login provider:

In Map View, tap the Suitcase button.

At the top left, tap the Settings button.

Tap the Help Settings tab, then select the “LINK TO…” box from the login provider you would like to connect.

If you receive an error message when attempting to link a login provider to your account, it is likely because that Facebook or Google account is already linked to a different Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account.

Unlinking or switching login providers

To unlink a login provider:To disconnect a login provider from your account, tap the “UNLINK FROM…” box from the login provider you would like to disconnect. After you unlink, you will no longer be able to sign into your account using that login provider. Note that you cannot remove the login provider you used to sign into your current gameplay session.Switching login providers:You are unable to unlink all login methods from your account at one time. To switch login methods, you will need to add a new login provider and then unlink the original. Then, you can add your preferred login method.
