How do I update my email address? – Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Guide

There are plenty of reasons why you might want to update the email address that’s associated with your preferred login provider for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. For example, you may be losing a non-permanent email address in the future (e.g., a work or school email address). Follow this guide to understand the process for updating your preferred login provider.In the example scenario found in this article, we will refer to three different login credentials, which will help clarify any ambiguity with this process.

Login A is associated with Google login issued by your university
Login B is associated with Facebook login
Login C is associated with Google login for personal use

You created your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account using Login A. Because you recently graduated from university, you’re concerned that you may lose access to your email address associated with Login A. You decide to update the Google email address you use to login to Login C. In order to do this, you must add another login method to your account.

Step 1: Link a second login

You must link a secondary login provider to your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account so that you can unlink Login A (whose email you’re planning to update).

At the top left, tap the Settings

button.

Tap the Help/Legal

Settings tab, then select the “LINK TO…” box from the login provider you would like to connect.

Follow the prompts to link your account. Once your account is linked, you can use that login provider to sign into your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account.

Once you’ve completed this step, your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account should be linked to Login A and Login B

Step 2: Unlink Login A

Before you can add Login C, you need to remove Login A (since you’re only allowed to connect once Google or Facebook login to each account).

Sign into the app with Login B

To disconnect a login provider from your account, tap the “UNLINK FROM…” box from Login A. After you unlink, you will no longer be able to sign into your account using that login provider. Note that you cannot remove the login provider you used to sign into your current gameplay session.

Your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account should be signed in with Login B

Step 3: Unlink Login A from the account

Your Harry Potter: Wizards Unite account should be linked to Login B. The Google login method should no longer appear to be linked

Step 5: Re-link Login C
