Did you know that FarmVille has additional settings which players can manually change from their game page? These settings include certain social features such as FarmVille chat, cross-posting feeds to Twitter, visibility of your game’s progress in features with rankings, and so much more! You can find where to edit these by clicking on the Settings link found below your game screen.
We’ve also listed some information which you may find helpful about the settings available in the page:
Community Friends
Community Friends, more known as Community Neighbors, are fellow farmers that we have in our Neighbor List but aren’t our Facebook contact. Disabling the Community Friend setting will prevent the game from suggesting you to other Farmers who are looking for Community Neighbors.
FarmVille Chat
This is the chat window that appears when the mouse cursor hovers on top of your neighbors’ avatar in the neighbor ladder. Click on the box next to the text to turn off the chat feature.
Feeds in Facebook Ticker
Facebook’s Ticker shows you and your friends’ recent activity in Facebook. It is located above the list of online Facebook friends at the right side of your browser window. Disabling this feature will stop showing your FarmVille-related activity in the Ticker of your Facebook friends.
FarmVille Twitter
Your feeds can also be posted on Twitter so more friends can respond to your help requests and shared posts! If you do not want participate in this feature, remove the check on the box to disable it. This will also stop the pop-up to connect with Twitter from appearing in-game.
Global Leaderboards
Features that are affected by the Global Leaderboards setting includes Farm stands. Keep the box unchecked if you do not want to participate or show your progress to other farmers. Disabling this setting will also keep your name from appearing in the ranking list.
