Shields provide an impenetrable barrier against enemy attacks for up to 24 hours before they deactivate. They protect the Garrison they are covering from being looted. However, if you launch an attack while your lands/ Garrison are shielded, all your shields will be broken, and you’ll immediately become vulnerable to attack! If a land has been captured by a few players, depending on which league you are in and the number of lands captured in a certain number of hours, eventually a shield will automatically appear over your lands. The shields do not automatically raise after one attack.If you buy a shield, the shield will need to be activated. It is not automatically applied to your Garrison (players can only buy shields for their Garrison).
