Empires & Allies – What are the Spartan’s special abilities?

The Spartan has two special abilities:OverkillThe overkill ability is unlocked at level 5. The overkill ability allows the Spartan pilot to overcharge the Sun Blade energy cells to deal 130% damage when fired. To perform the Overkill, wait for the Sun Blade (super) cooldown timer to finish and then hold fire (Super only) for 3 seconds after it. This charges the Sun Blade’s overkill ability. You can track this in The overkill ability is unlocked at level 5. You can track this in the charging in the orange Overkill meter near the Super icon on your HUD. Simply press the Super Button to unleash 130% plasma pain. Firing the Sun Blade before the overcharge period will not yield any extra damage and will void the use of the ability.Energy ArmorUnlocked at level 8, the Spartan’s Energy Armour works off the same Overkill technology. The upgraded Sun Blade power cells can be overcharged to generate a layer of energy armor around Spartan that soaks up damage from enemy fire. To use the Energy Armour, wait for the Sun Blade (super) cooldown timer to finish and then hold fire (Super only) for 8 seconds after it. You’ll see a shimmering matrix of energy on Spartan as the Energy Armor is engaged automatically. The Energy Armor does not stack. A subsequent overcharge will only replenish the armor not add to it. The Energy armor hit points increase as Spartan is leveled up and with your HQ level.Earning the Energy Armor will not void the Overkill ability! Firing the Sun Blade will still give it 130% bonus damage.
