Q: What new content is unlocked at HQ 35 and 36? A: At HQ 35, players can upgrade the sonic barrier to level 3. At level 3, the sonic barrier has the ability to resist the Remote Hack.At HQ 36, players unlock a new War Factory crafted structure, called the Spotter Tower, which when placed on your base increases the range of all defensive structures in its AoE by 2 units and the AoE of the Alpha Towers and Bastion Tower by two units.
Q: What is the difference between the two recharge options of the Level 3 Sonic Barrier Recharge?A: Upgrading the sonic barrier to level 3 gives you two recharge options. The first is the regular ability of reduced effects from enemy command powers for all structures and units in the Sonic Barrier’s AoE. The second option offers the protection from command powers and the ability to protect all units and structures in the Sonic Barrier’s AoE from the Remote Hack ability. You can apply only one ability at a time. The recharge costs War Factory components and lasts for 24 hours.
Q: What is the Spotter Tower and how does it work?A: The Spotter Tower is a new structure that can be crafted in the level 30 War Factory. You need to upgrade your HQ to level 36 to unlock the War Factory upgrade. The Spotter Tower is a defensive craft. When crafted 3 Spotter Towers will be added to your inventory. Place them on your base to use them. The ranges of all defensive structures in the Spotter Tower’s AoE get increased by 2 units. Alpha Towers and the Bastion Tower get their AoE increased by 2 units. You can place a maximum of 3 Spotter Towers on your base at any given time. Spotter Towers last on your base for 5 days before disappearing. The effect of the Spotter Tower does not stack. i.e Placing Spotter Towers close to each other so their AoE’s overlap, will not multiply the benefits of a single tower. You can tell if a building is affected by the Spotter Tower by the appearance of a glowing yellow particle effect around the base of a building.
Spotter Towers increase the range of the HQ Stinger weapon by 2. Spotter Towers have no effect on resource buildings, Ion Cannons, Stealth Generators, Air Med Drone Hives, Iron Domes and Rally Flags and Rally Flag units, Landmines and Shock mines. Spotter Towers increase the range of defensive structures by 2 units even if they have the Guard Tower Rockets, Patriot Ground Targeting and Alpha Dome configurations applied to them.NOTE: You cannot see Spotter Tower booster VFX in scout mode. You can only see them once you attack.Q: Will the Sonic Barrier Anti-hack charge protect my structures from the CnC Vehicle’s hack?A: No. The CnC vehicle will still be able to hack structures protected by the Sonic Barrier. The Sonic Barrier anti-hack recharge will only protect structures from command power effects and the remote hack command power.Q. Will the Sonic Barrier Anti-hack charge protect my structures even if an EMP command power is used against it?A: Yes.
