Empires & Allies – Why do I get "device not compatible" message when I update the game?

We’re currently looking into this issue now. 
As a temporary workaround, Google suggests clearing Google Play Store’s data from your phone and then reinstalling the game. 
To do so:

  • Enter Settings
  • Choose Application Manager > All
  • Select Google Play Store
  • Clear data
  • You can also re-install the whole Google Play Store App. To do so:

  • Enter Settings
  • Choose Apps > All
  • Select Google Play Store
  • Uninstall Updates
  • After the process is complete, please try reinstalling the game. 
  • Choose Application Manager > All
  • Select Google Play Store
  • Clear data
  • If those steps don’t work, please proceed to the next section.

    Please note:  
     

    You must have a valid EMAIL setup in your device, since the final step is to send us an email.

  • Go to "Settings" from your Android device. 
  • Go to "Developer Options" and make sure that the "Developer Mode" is turned on. 
  • Once the "Developer Mode" is on, tap the "Take Bug Report" option. (if the option is grayed out, tick the "USB Debugging" checkbox to make it work).
  • Tap "Report" … The dialog will go away (Will it look like nothing happened).
  • Wait for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Eventually, a notification Will APPEAR Informing "Bug Report Captured".
  • Tap the notification.
  • On the "Complete Action using" screen, tap your Email Client.
  • Send the email to: empiresandalliessocial@zynga.com (please note, this will not gain a reply, if you need response, please submit a ticket.)
  • Once you’ve emailed this out to us we’ll be working with Google to resolve this issue.
