In honor and celebration of both the 25th anniversary of Pokémon and Pokémon GO’s 5th anniversary, we are launching a virtual, ticketed event for Trainers around the globe on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time.No matter where you are in the world, take a trip back to the region where it all started: Kanto.There will be two experiences available to choose from: Red Version or Green Version. Each will feature version-exclusive Pokemon encounters, event-exclusive Special Research and the Shiny forms for the first 150 Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region will be available, some for the first time ever! They will remain available to encounter in Pokémon GO even after the event has ended.Collect the first 150 Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region and earn special rewards along the way.That’s not all! After completing the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto Special Research, Trainers will receive a second, event-exclusive Special Research. Overcoming very difficult challenges and daunting tasks will be required to complete it, but it’ll all be worth it to discover Shiny Mew. Tickets to Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto are now available in the in-app shop! Tickets are USD$11.99 plus any applicable taxes and fees (or the equivalent in your local currency). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.

In the shop, tap the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto image.

Tap the **Buy** button.

You’ll then see a pop-up indicating that you’ve received a ticket for Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto.

After you tap **OK**, you can find the ticket in your Item Bag.

Tapping the event ticket in the Item Bag will bring up a pop-up allowing you to pick a Version.

After confirming your Version selection, you’ll receive a corresponding Red/Green medal in your profile. Note: the Version selection is final, you cannot change your version once it has been selected.
