Captain Everspark unlocks as soon as you have discovered and beaten Col. Gearheart’s Warfactory base. You can find the base if you have Radar level 15. You might also notice a distress signal on your Archipelago map…

All Heroes have two attack types: a Hero Perk and three Hero Abilities.
Hero Perk:
Three Critters spawn from her backpack at timed intervals. Upgrading the Captain will increase the rate at which the Critters spawn.
Hero Abilities:
You can only bring one ability at a time to a battle.
CRITTER SWARM: Spawns a swarm of Critters.
Upgrading this ability increases the amount of Critters spawned.
EXPLOSIVE CHARGES: Deals a great deal of damage to a nearby defensive structure.
Upgrading this ability increases the damage dealt by the explosives.
UNIVERSAL REMOTE: Temporarily captures and boosts a nearby defensive structure.
Upgrading this ability increases the damage bonus to the captured building.
You need Hero Tokens to upgrade the abilities, and using them in combat uses up your Gunboat energy.
