Due to user feedback and research we’ve slightly changed the functionality of the skip action. We are purposefully no longer marking episodes as heard if you skip them. Although this may cause an inconvenience at first, it will prevent accidental skips from permanently marking episodes as heard.
There is a setting in the iOS app that allows you to manage whether you want episodes to be ‘marked as heard’ when episodes are skipped.
Go to Settings->General->Playback Behavior
Manually marking an episode as heard does not affect this behavior. But it would affect another setting that determines whether heard episodes should be skipped when they are in a playlist. It’s called ‘Play Unheard Only’ and it is also found in Playback Settings.
