They are only for referenceIII.How to make formations in regular battles1. How to choose Dragon(we will discuss it in later strategies) 2. How to choose ArrayAncient Roman Shield Square: assisting, crit chance, and non-rally offensive damageAncient Qin Crossbow Arrow Array: concealing, extra damage, and dodge(The Ancient Roman Shield Square is recommended now, because it provides a high attribute benefit; the Ancient Qin Crossbow Arrow Array is effective when facing the Cavalry, but it will be weaker if not facing the Cavalry troops) 3. How to choose hero(only for reference)Infantry: Thorn Flower and Wild SwordsmanCavalry: Zhao Yun and the Queen of WarArcher: Arrow of God of Love and Wind RangerSiege Engine: Artillery Commander and Warsong MasterMixed troop: Warhammer and Soul Eater 4. Formation of soldiers(Only for reference)Formations for those who mainly use Infantry:Plan 1 (counters multiple rows of melee units/melee Cavalry): T13 PikemanPlan 2 (counters multiple rows of melee units/melee Cavalry): T13 Pikeman + T11 PikemanPlan 3 (counters multiple rows of melee units/melee Cavalry): T11 Pikeman + T9 PikemanPlan 4(counters multiple rows of melee units/melee Cavalry): T11 PikemanPlan 5(counters multiple rows of melee units/melee Cavalry): T9 Pikeman Formations for those who mainly use Cavalry:Plan 1 (counters units in the back rows): T13 Melee Cavalry Plan 2 (counters units in the back rows): T13 Melee Cavalry + T12 Cavalry Shooter + T11 Melee CavalryPlan 3 (counters units in the back rows/troops only contain Infantry): T12 Shield Soldiers + T12 Cavalry Shooter Plan 4 (counters units in the back rows): T11 Melee Cavalry Plan 5 (counters units in the back rows): T10 Melee Cavalry Plan 6 (counters units in the back rows): T11 Melee Cavalry + T10 Melee Cavalry Formations for those who mainly use Archer:Plan 1 (counters Siege Engine troops): T12 Shield Soldier + T13 Crossbowman + T12 Archer + T11 CrossbowmanPlan 2 (counters Siege Engine troops): T12 Shield Soldier + T12 Archer + T11 Crossbowman Plan 3 (counters Siege Engine troops): T12 Shield Soldier + T12 Archer Formations for those who mainly use Siege Engine:Plan 1 (counters Infantry troop): T13 Assault Cart + T11 Mangonel Plan 2 (counters Infantry troop): T13 Assault Cart + T 12 Assault Cart + T11 Mangonel Plan 3 (counters Infantry troop): T 12 Assault Cart + T11 Mangonel Plan 4 (counters Infantry troop): T12 Shield Soldier + T11 MangonelFormations for those who use mixed troops(if one of your units’ attributes is weaker, you can slightly reduce the marching troop):Plan 1 (formation that only contains melee units, aiming at Cavalry):T13 Melee Cavalry + T13 Pikeman + T13 Assault Cart + T12 Assault Cart + T12 Shield Soldier + T11 Melee Cavalry + T11 Pikeman + T9 Pikeman Plan 2(formation that only contains ranged units, aiming at Infantry):T12 Shield Soldier + T12 Archer + T12 Cavalry Shooter + T11 Mangonel + T11 Crossbowman Recommended proportion: 60% of the formation is made of the units with highest attributes, and the remaining part is divided evenly among other units. For example, if you mainly use Cavalry, you can use 60% of Cavalry; and the remaining part of the formation is made of Infantry, Archer and Siege Engine, the numbers of the 3 soldiers are equal IV: the formation aiming certain opponents(only for reference)To make a formation aiming at certain opponent, you need to get the following info:1.Get the info about the opponent’s attributes① Know which enemy unit that has the highest basic Attack and Defense②Check that unit’s attributes of damage dealt by the unit, the unit’s received damage reduction, HP, and Attack③Check the attributes of other units, including basic Attack, damage dealt by the units, the unit’s received damage reduction, HP, and Attack{{red:Generally speaking, the enemy unit with highest Basic Attack is regarded as his mainly used unitExample 1: The opponent has a pure Infantry attribute, no attribute about other units 2. The proportion of opponent’s soldiers in the castle①Check the proportion of different units②Compare the distribution of formations and distribution of attributes{{red:The units with highest proportion is the main unitExample 1: The opponent only has Infantry in the castle, no other units 3. Checking your attributes①Checking the attributes of your units and their countering relationships with enemy soldiers, and the attributes difference{{red:Get the conclusion whether your units counter the opponent’s units or notIf yes, move to the next stepIf not, figure out whether you have close attributes with the opponent of the same units, and the difference between attributes is not too big, if yes, move to the next stepExample 1: Your attributes about Cavalry are highest, and Siege Engine can counter the opponent in the most efficient way. Because you don’t have Siege Engine that counters Infantry best, you can choose the secondary plan, use Cavalry Shooter to counter Infantry. 4. Checking the proportion of the soldiers you can send to march①Check the level of soldiers’ talent skill enhancement②Get a conclusion about formation aiming at certain units and evaluate the soldiers’ talent skill enhancement, make a final formation{{red:According to the above conclusion, you can know which unit you mainly use, and decide the proportion of your formations according to the level of soldiers’ talent skill enhancementExample 1, according to above analysis, we can get the final conclusion of using Shield Soldier + T12 Cavalry Shooter to attacking the castleV. Formations used to defendRecommended soldier left in the castle to defend(effective for all kinds of attribute preferences):T13 Pikeman + T12 Shield Soldier + T11 Pikeman + T9 PikemanT13 Cavalry + T 12 Cavalry Shooter + T11 Archer + T10 CavalryT13 Assault Cart + T12 Assault Cart + T11 Mangonel + T10 MangonelT13 Crossbowman + T12 Archer + T11 Crossbowman(this formation is only recommended for the players who has a main Archer attributes) Notice: in current versions, we don’t recommend the formation of using soldiers of lower level to defend(because Infantry counters such formations) The formation recommended for defending Throne and PortalMainly use Infantry:Formation made of single row: T13 Pikeman or T11 Pikeman. Features: this formation will earn you an excellent kill/loss ratio; compared with formation made of multiple rows of soldiers, this formation kills less enemy soldier; this formation can resist against multiple ralliesFormation made of multiple rows: T13 Pikeman + T11 Pikeman. Features: kills many soldiers, loss many soldiers too; unstable; cannot resist against multiple rallies Mainly use Cavalry:Formation made of single row: T13 Cavalry, or T 11 Cavalry, or T10 Cavalry. Features: this formation will earn you an excellent kill/loss ratio; compared with formation made of multiple rows of soldiers, this formation kills less enemy soldier; this formation can resist against multiple ralliesFormation made of multiple rows: T13 Cavalry + T11 Cavalry + T10 Cavalry. Features: kills many soldiers, loss many soldiers too; unstable; cannot resist against multiple rallies Mainly use Archer: T12 Shield Soldier + T13 Crossbowman + T12 Archer + T11 Crossbowman Mainly use Siege Engine(if your main unit is Siege Engine, we don’t recommend you to defend the Throne, because Siege Engine get a huge amount of damage bonus only when attacking the castles):T13 Assault Cart + T12 Assault Cart + T11 Mangonel VI. The changes of formation in special situationsI. Magic skill: Dark CounterattackAfter using the Magic Skill of Dark Counterattack, the melee troops (such as Pikeman) can also attack the units in the back rows; so your formation should change if you facing the troops equipped with Dark Counterattack. II. Attack and Defense in the resource battlesThe resource battles include battles occurred in the Mineral Vein, Treasure Rift, gathering resources, strongholds in the field, Civilization Fortress, and other places. In a resource battle, Cavalry Shooter will get a huge amount of extra damage bonus and damage taken (reduction). So the countering relationships against the T12 Cavalry are not so effective in these battles, and other soldiers might be countered by T12 Cavalry Shooter.
